    Gardener

    We have an exciting opportunity for THREE Gardeners to join our Estates Team helping to maintain and improve gardens and ground across our homes in and around Staffordshire.

    Job requirements

    • Perform garden maintenance tasks like lawn mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding and litter picking.
    • Other tasks included are gutter cleaning, fence and gate repairs and small-scale home repairs for our residents.
    • You will need to use powered equipment such as brush cutters, hedge cutters, lawn mowers and leaf blowers.
    • Perform landscaping works to help improve our outdoor spaces.
    • You may be required to drive company vans and tow trailers to enable delivery of the service.
    • Communicate with your line manager with daily phone calls, emails, and regular one-to-one meetings throughout the year.

    What we’re looking for

    • Someone who is experienced and skilled in the delivery of grounds maintenance.
    • Ability to carry-out small-scale property repairs.
    • A person who can and will work in all weathers.
    • Experience and knowledge of safe working practice.
    • An understanding of what great customer service is.
    • A person with a positive outlook who can solve problems.
    • Educated to NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent.
    • Willingness to learn new skills and committed to continuous improvement.
    • A full UK driving licence.
