Our approach

We'll prevent tenancy fraud by taking steps to ensure we know who signs up to rent our homes, and who actually lives in them, these include:

Confirming the identity of hopeful tenants, by completing right to rent (RTR) checks to make sure applicants have the right to rent a property from us.
Signing up new tenants with a tenancy agreement.
Completing home visits during the first year of your tenancy and beyond, including settling-in visits within the first six months.
Carrying out tenancy audits to confirm your identity and your right to live in the property, and the UK.
Working in partnership with agencies to help investigate tenancy fraud cases and take legal action if needed.
Reviewing our practices and procedures regularly so that we're well equipped to deal with, and tackle tenancy fraud.
Publishing information about our approach to tenancy fraud on our website and in our residents' magazine.
