Following the success of anti-social behaviour awareness week, we’re proud to announce a series of ASB surgeries, aimed at supporting you in your neighbourhood.
This December we’re excited to announce a series of ASB surgeries: free drop-in sessions designed to give you our tenants an opportunity to speak directly with our ASB Specialist to support you and give you the guidance needed to resolve any problems.
ASB Specialist Nic Recine says we’re launching the initiative as we’re committed to creating homes residents feel proud to live in, which includes creating thriving neighbourhoods too.
“Here at Staffs Housing, we’re committed to providing quality affordable homes people feel proud to live in”, said Nic.
“We know that doesn’t stop at someone’s front door and means more than just bricks and mortar, we want our residents to feel safe and proud to live in their communities too!
“In November we hosted a series of events to celebrate anti-social behaviour awareness week. The week was a great success visiting nine schemes, speaking to 39 residents, and raising 19 actions as a direct result.
“It was great to meet so many of you, and to be able to provide help and support, to make sure your neighbourhoods really can thrive.
“We had some positive feedback about the week with one resident saying: ‘I was able to speak to someone really quickly about the issue I faced, and I now know it’s being dealt with’.”
To keep the momentum going Nic will be hosting ASB surgeries starting this December!
“Anti-social behaviour awareness week highlighted how important it is for tenants to feel empowered to address issues affecting their quality of life”, continued Nic.
“To keep the commitment to resolving ASB going, starting in December I’ll be visiting schemes across our communities, to provide surgery like drop-in sessions, where you and the wider community can come and speak to me about any issues you’re experiencing.
“Why not come along? Whether you’re dealing with noise issues or disruptive neighbours, I’ll be on hand to listen and offer support and solutions.
“Simply drop into the surgery at your local scheme – no need to book an appointment – and if you’re concerned, you’ll be able to report issues anonymously too!”
Dates and locations
The first surgery will take place on 3 December, at Bishop Court in Abbey Hulton, from 10.30am – 12pm.
Then one a month across our schemes and neighbourhoods. Keep your eyes peeled on our social media and Be Mag to find out where the surgeries will be happening next.
